Freedom of Choice represents a chief of Benin Kingdom holding a staff of office. This work refers to the era of colonization during which many of our ancestors were violently relocated and our traditions and culture spread in Europe. Freedom of Choice is also posing the question of the Benin chiefs themselves which relocated our ancestors: did they really have a choice of enslaving people or did they have their hands tied? This is still an open question. S. Ogiamien
