Registre Nº 11, 1956-1956, pp. 13-16
Ten pages in the inventory register no. 11 are devoted to the totem poles ETHAM 025988 and 025989. Normally an object only takes up one line in the register. This shows the importance attributed to these two totem poles as soon as they arrived in the Ethnography Museum. The story of their acquisition by Georges Barbey and the information he managed to gather about them are presented here. On the last but one page, there is an unpublished photograph taken during the taking down of the totem poles in Ketchikan. L. Monot/MEG
