Pierre and Suzanne Vérité, the famous Parisian dealers of Carrefour Gallery, had a profitable relationship with the collector, at its height in the decade preceding the Second World War. Sales propositions were made by correspondence, consisting of sketches, comments and price lists. On this page, Vérité has drawn, among other sketches, a Kota reliquary guardian, an “old model with no degeneration” is the comment to be read. Chambon acquired it in 1936. F. Morin/MEG
